masterz Icon : (24 January 2011 - 03:59 PM) I would love to :D when are you normally online?
masterz Icon : (24 January 2011 - 06:17 PM) A question for all you veterans out there: What would you say is the fastest way of making money? which monsters which coords?
Loellingite Icon : (27 January 2011 - 01:16 PM) Hmm... I think that bands of medium level mobs are the most "gold-efficient", but I can't really help with the coordinates. And I may be wrong, of course. :)
Loellingite Icon : (15 February 2011 - 01:18 PM) Damn! Turns out that "15 days" is quite a relative term! Virgin Media has forgotten about my order (isn't that typical), so I cancelled it and decided to go for Sky (along with a 3D TV :)) instead.
They promised to activate my line on February 29. *sigh*
Sorry for inconvenience, guys.
masterz Icon : (15 February 2011 - 04:25 PM) ahh dam these companies! forgetting there most important client, I'm going to have to have a word with their manager!
Loellingite Icon : (07 March 2011 - 11:49 AM) Hi all, and my apologies for the downtime. Our host has decided to move our website to a different hardware without giving any prior notice and.. which seems to be even better, they managed to lose some of our latest data during this relocation (hilarious, isn't it?).
That's why some posts and forum messages may have disappeared.
I'm really sorry for that, and please let me know immediately if you've lost any of your in-game stuff.
masterz Icon : (07 March 2011 - 10:57 PM) Man, what bad luck anvilglint has
Loellingite Icon : (08 March 2011 - 05:06 PM) Tell me about it!

So, how's your archmage? :) Is everything in place? Nothing lost?
masterz Icon : (18 March 2011 - 08:33 PM) yea archmage is really good, a pretty fun class. I especially like the aura of food spell :)
Loellingite Icon : (21 March 2011 - 04:49 PM) Heh, yup, that's a good one. :)
Alfar Icon : (08 May 2011 - 08:37 PM) Спустя месяц ни одного поста.. :(
Ребят.. Аууу...
;(
Alfar Icon : (08 May 2011 - 08:39 PM) Как-то аж грустно стало..
Loellingite Icon : (10 May 2011 - 08:27 AM) Без паники, всё ок. ;) Мы просто крайне погружены в разработку (а мы бы исчезали, если бы это не было чем-то эпическим? Нет!).
Ещё пара месяцев и... всё тайное станет явным!
Loellingite Icon : (14 July 2011 - 12:48 PM) Our new website is complete; we've re-implemented absolutely everything (incl. the forum) from scratch, so it won't be Invision anymore, but a community directly integrated into the game's content. This will unlock lots of interesting opportunities, but unfortunately I can't tell you more right now. :)
The new website will be launched along with all information about the new game later this year, hopefully by the end of December.
We've also decided to take a summer break, so we will not continue our development until September. Sorry, we were just desperate for a holiday. :)
Loellingite Icon : (14 July 2011 - 12:48 PM) See you in a couple of months!
zackary13 Icon : (15 July 2011 - 12:06 AM) see ya then
Vryheid Icon : (06 September 2011 - 01:20 AM) so I wanna hear about this update
masterz Icon : (18 September 2011 - 06:06 PM) Yes It would be nice to know whats been going on in anvilglint lately :)
Alfar Icon : (18 September 2011 - 06:45 PM) Yeah!
masterz Icon : (23 January 2012 - 03:38 PM) So whats been happening? I hope no more set backs?

Anvilglint Chronicles is looking for voluntary staff members that will be involved in development of the game and community management.

Before the game is finished the roles listed below will remain voluntary and legally non-binding (however, I would be happy to provide you with proof record of experience for a 3rd party employer should you decide to leave), but after that an advertising campaign will be launched aiming to bring the game to a commercial stage.
At that stage we will be looking forward to long-term relationships with members of our voluntary staff and to offering you real monetary rewards.
If we find each other a pleasant team to work with, full-time job contracts are likely to be offered in the future.
This is a perfect opportunity to get involved in a unique project and gain useful experience while working from home in a flexible manner.

The following openings are currently available:

1) Content Developers
1.1) Storylines & Universe*
Creation of in-game quests and interactive dialogues, rewards, non-playable characters and holiday events.

1.2) In-Game Elements*
Creation of all things composing the interactive world, from herbs, mushrooms and trinkets, to legendary weapons and armour sets, as well as magical spells and unique character abilities.

1.3) World Design*
Creation of maps for dungeons, cities and other locations visited by players.

2) 3D Modelers
Creation of 3D models for all possible characters: from humanoids to dragons. Although we are using Blender for that purpose, 3DS Max and Maya are also welcome.

3) 2D Artists
Creation of textures, icons and/or art, from conceptual images to character avatars.

4) 3D Animators
Animation of 3D character models using Blender, 3DS Max or Maya.

5) Community Support (Temporary Unavailable)
Provision of support and answering player queries.
Good communication skills are essential. Knowledge of Russian or Latvian languages is a plus.

* - Inhouse tools & software is used, requiring no technical skills. Full training will be provided.

If any of the above seems to be of interest to you, please send your application (cover letter and a brief description of your skills/experience) to contact@anvilglint.com
Additionally, do not hesitate to get in touch if you're interested in working with us, but don't see a suitable role available. All applications received will be considered.

Sounds interesting enough. I suppose Loel knows how much experience I've had with the game system, so I'd potentially have a big head start in balancing the game classes and creating interesting battles. Location in the US wouldn't be a problem though, would it?

Yes, I believe your experience might be invaluable to our development and it is great to see that you are interested! And no, being in the US is not an issue.

Do you have any messenger (Skype, MSN, AIM or other) that we could use to discuss all that in real time?

However, I must warn you in advance that most of our team is on holiday this week, so we may be offline very often.
